Barclay Junior School '59 Reunion 3
Eagle Pub, Snaresbrook - May 8, 2004
At our third reunion on Saturday, 8 May,2004 things got off to
a bad start. The Eagle wouldn't let us in for nearly an hour - computer problems
apparently. But once having gained the succour of alcohol things dropped into
their usual pattern - a great deal of laughter and chat which went on until 5
o'clock and the usual problem trying to get some sandwiches [Joan where
were you when we needed you?]. There were eight of us plus honorary class
member Ray Bartrip, so a small gathering but no less fun. We were very pleased
to see Kathy Oliver for the first time. Others in attendance were: Patrick
Bennett, Sue Chumbley, Jan Blackhall, Bob Curry, Pam Wright, Leslie Worts and
Christine Shepherd. And we've all still got our own teeth!
Bob Curry spotted a tall blonde walking past and chased her down the road,
trying to get her along to the reunion - thought she was Sue - we've ordered
some glasses for him.
